Stumbled across the blog of the developer behind bearblog.dev today. Really enjoyed reading his posts, and checking out his blogging platform too.
Lately, I've been more and more inspired to build little toy software projects, just for fun. Not sure if I want to turn them into a business 🤷🏽♂️ but I do want to keep going with it as a hobby. I genuinely enjoy designing and coding my own stuff, so this post hit at the right time.
I’m especially excited to get the Obsidian plugin I’ve been working on (with another Recurser!) out into the world 🚀
I’ve also been doing the AI-guided system design practice on HelloInterview, and honestly… it’s kind of solid. I enjoy using it. Makes me curious how it works under the hood 🤖 I'll ask a friend into AI (feel free to volunteer yourself). Might be a good excuse to learn how to set up and call LLMs properly, and see how they can fit into real products.
Read a few pages of this book recently that made a distinction between anxiety vs. worry, and stress vs. pressure. Found that surprisingly useful. Pressure feels good (keeps you sharp), but stress, not so good.
I'm ironically back to using Noteplan for todos and enjoying it a lot. As I said in January, it's what best fits how my brain works. I use it as my todo list app and work journal, while still using Obsidian for note-taking.
I also have been enjoying a Windows-style task bar on my Macbook. This is such a keeper. Idk how I lived without it before. Mac window management sucks wtf
