you look disengaged in your meetings

"when you don't speak up or ask questions in meetings, it makes you look disengaged."

my friend told me about a guy who got this feedback from his manager.

it's hard to focus and engage in meetings when they're off topic to your work or role. but i want to cultivate an attitude of focusing and engaging anyway.

leadership at my company is great at this, and will give useful input on anything. it's a skill i'm pretty sure.

also asking questions or speaking up helps you pay attention more. in any case i want to do more of this.

as with literally everything, meditation helps lol
