move to heaven

When I die, I wonder what story will be found in my room.

I'm watching a show where the main characters clean the homes of the recently deceased.

They go in, clean, and assemble a box of items from the person's place. Over the course of an episode or two, through this box of items, we learn about the person's life and the narrative they've left behind.

In one arc, an elderly woman died. She had memory loss, and withdrew money everyday from a bank, to buy her son a suit. We see her withdrawal receipts.

I keep coming back to shows and books like this. To talk about death feels somber but also true. Life is finite and we forget that.

Does it make sense to do the things we do in light of death?
