physical manifestations of emotional disregulation

having meditated a while on my bodily sensations, i notice clearly in my body when i'm emotionally disregulated. my breath becomes shallow or quick or i forget to breathe. my chest might be tight, my muscles stiff. sometimes my heartbeat quickens.

one of the main things in meditation is to let go, when something "hits your stuff" aka bothers you. i didn't understand what that meant a year ago. but now i know notice in my body what it feels like to let go and return to equanimity.
