some purchases are mistakes and that's okay

i've been refurnishing/redecorating my room, which overall costs a bunch of money. spending that money sometimes feels stressful since i don't want to waste money.

inevitably in this process i bought some incorrect items (some that i was able to return, others no). but now i'm realizing that's part of the learning process. minimalism is great, but sometimes you have to buy things and try them out to realize they're not for you.

i'm trying to internalize that some of these mistakes are okay and unavoidable, as long as i reflect on them and try to decrease them in the future
