right before i started college, I read my very first self-help book, The Happiness Project
in it, there was a scene where the author found herself getting frustrated with her daughter who wanted to spend hours looking through the cakes at the bakery for her birthday.
she reminded herself that anticipation is a stage of happiness and when her daughter wanted to pass by the bakery every time on the way home, she'd let her.
i love that. anticipation is a stage of happiness.
i'm going to italy with a friend, and it's not as efficient to book flights, but the time spent coordinating is fun. it has kind of anticipatory excitement.
i'm grateful <3
