i gotta be honest

my friend Alex uses the phrase "to be honest with you" a lot.

it seemed a little redundant at first, like just say your edgy comment directly

but perhaps the phrase makes it a bit easier to say the edgy thing.

sometimes, i struggle with saying what i really think (relevant).

perhaps it would help if i tried to use expressions like:

• to be honest with you
• not gonna lie
• my take is
• in my opinion

going to try it out!
